FCIM operates a full-service clinic open to the public that integrates Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine treatments with Western medicine protocols. The on-campus integrative medicine clinic is centrally located in Orlando, easily accessible by all major thoroughfares, set against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Ellenor and shaded by lush flora.
In the clinic, students have the opportunity to work under the masterful guidance of Acupuncture Physicians while treating patients with the modalities of acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal medicines, Tui-Na (Chinese Therapeutic massage), cupping, Gua-Sha, nutritional counseling and lifestyle counseling. To enhance understanding and gain first-hand experience, students observe private treatments by supervising physicians and shadow case-study teachers. All of the clinic’s supervising physicians offer years of experience in the field of integrative medicine and many of them manage their own private practices while teaching at FCIM. In recognition of our clinic's steadfast dedication to better and more integrated patient care, the Mayor of Orlando awarded us a Proclamation of Acknowledgement in October 2006, attesting to the effectiveness and quality of our service to the public.
Our clinic’s pharmacy is one of the largest herbal pharmacies in Central Florida, offering over 700 types of herb medicine and with prescriptions prepared on site. The pharmacy assesses, accumulates and analyses patient data from the clinic and is an integral part of our clinical learning process.
